Biden answers questions on Iraq, Health Care, Education, Immigration, is he a Centrist?, and a bit about his personal life.

Agree with him or not, I wanted to present this for those who are undecided so you'll have a little more info on Biden to help in your making your decision.

1. I keep going back and looking more closely at him.
I don't know why, but I feel comfortable with Joe. He puts his foot in his mouth, but I think he is basically a good guy and has the respect of Congress. I know he's a longshot, but at least he says what he thinks. God knows, we don't get much of that.

2. He Makes A Lot Of Sense
With all his experience in the Senate, he may have the best qualifications.

3. He gets himself in trouble, but he says what we're thinking.
I like that and can't fault him much for that trait. I think he has the respect of other politicians so they wouldn't block him like they did Carter. I worry about that for Obama and Hillary.

I think he knows enough about what has been going on behind the scenes that he could go into the job running, rather than spend time orienting.

5. Yes - and additionally, I just trust in him more than I do the others. nt

4. We (meaning those of us who support Biden) are hearing that more and more
frequently. It's our hope that he does well in Iowa, and that coverage of him will accelerate. Once more people have the opportunity to see him and hear what he has to say, I think they would begin looking at him more closely, too.

Very well put - you feel comfortable with him -- I agree. And as another DUer put it, I'd feel safer at night knowing Joe was in the White House.

:hi:

8. He actually has been pretty good over this campaign season.
Except of course for the day he announced.

I read an article over the summer from a journalist saying that he misses Biden putting his foot in his mouth :)

But when Biden talks about 'his problem' he makes no excuses. He just says that he is not scripted, he doesn't spend time searching for the perfect answer, and because of that sometimes he will say the wrong thing.

6. He's qualified, smart, and centrist. What are you crazy! Who's gonna vote for that?!
Even if people wanted in the most deep, dark corners of their hearts to vote for this man, by the time the ridiculous ads, the barrage of Media, the constant ignorant banter of political analysts, and the lopsided primary voting calender are done, the brains of the voters will be so riddled with propaganda and general garbage they will pull the lever in the voting booth for the guy/gal with the cutest commercial jingle.

7. Yeah, people are funny like that
They say what they want in a leader, but if you give it to them, they just don't see it.

As for the rough road ahead for the nominee, Biden has been there already and is probably more prepared than most.

9. He Sounds Presidential (in the old sense of the term)
And consequently will fail the vacuous, automaton test that American presidents must pass. Obama, has that covered.
