3. In spite...
In spite of Paul's right wing Domestic and social agenda maybe, Ventura's social views are generally more liberal than conservative, anyway it's irrelevant cause they would never let anyone who wants to end the fed, break up the empire and champion states rights anywhere near the white house with or without Ventura.

9. In a Free Country you should never feel comfortable being searched....
I happen to agree with this... I guess when you're brave and strong enough to fight for our Countries Constitution on foreign soil, you won't settle for laws of secrecy that violate that Constitution depending on the political expediency at home.

11. Jesse Ventura swore never to say
the Pledge ever again. Go away Jesse and find some conspiracy to spread.

13. I agree with Jesse Ventura about the searches. They are too invasive
considering how many people have to be searched in a day.

The whole airport security process is costing the country much too much money.

When you go to the LA courthouses, you get searched. But that is understandable because the courthouses are visited every day, every hour not only by criminals but by angry people, furious litigants and worst of all, bitter spouses (or ex-spouses) who are fighting over money or the custody of their children.

Airports are not nearly as dangerous as courthouses, but the amount of money spent on checking passengers (especially on domestic flights) is quite astounding.

Another point: It sounds reasonable to leave the issue of gay marriage up to individual states, but what if a gay couple marries and lives in a state that recognizes their marriage, but one spouse becomes very ill or has a serious accident in another state that does not recognize their marriage -- and what about the rights of gay spouses with regard to federal income tax.

14. I dunno bout Ron Paul...
Edited on Tue Nov-22-11 03:11 AM by Oldenuff
but at least you would know going in what you were getting, instead of getting one that turned on you after he was elected. And Jesse....yes,the searches and all the other intrusions are unconstitutional.Course,we have someone who lectured on constitutional law in office right now...for all the dam* good it does us.I'd vote for Jesse given the opportunity..and I'd do it for general principles.

I actually don't give a fat sh*t about Ron Paul...but at least he is pretty upfront about what he is.

And he was all like, "I will open the doors of Government and ask you to be involved in your own Democracy again", that is..until the topic of Cannabis legalization came up..

15. I love Jesse Ventura !!!!
and he is right. If Ron Paul & Jesse Ventura ran together it would be major problems for both parties. They would take away a lot of the young vote from Obama. They would take a lot of the conservative vote from the Republican. They would also get a lot of independents that are sick of the two party system and get a lot of new voters or people that wouldnt vote.

I personally would still vote for Obama because I dont believe in a lot of Ron Paul's social issues. But if Jesse Ventura ran as the front runner on a ticket with someone else I would vote for Jesse Ventura over Obama in a heart beat. It wouldnt even be much of a thought. I dont think I listen to Jesse Ventura talk and ever really disagreed with him. He is very common sense.

18. no president gets their way on everything, on social issues
ron paul would not get his way,

but on foreign policy, where his views mirror the nations as a whole,
he might just get his way.

His desire to brings troops home and close overseas bases is better than Obamas positions on these issues in my opinion
