28. Make My Day!
My day would be made IF HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS(MILLIONS) of us
marched in every big city across the country on the same day.

I'd LOVE to have MILLIONS go to Washington, DC and surround
the House, Senate, Supreme Court and the White House.

I want the Congress to HEAR the VOICES OF THE PEOPLE who
ELECTED THEM! Not the voices of those lobbyists who have their
ears at the country club or on a private jet.

The police and firefighters should be out there MARCHING with
us, as they're part of the 99 %.
How many of those REPUBLICAN GOVERNORS are TRYING TO FIRE
and/or REDUCE salaries of public servants?

The head of the firefighters union in Madison, Wisconsin
STANDS with the 99 %, because he knows Walker is trying to
destroy these unions and get these services privatized.

OWS is getting BIGGER AND LOUDER and this is FANTASTIC!

We need to KEEP ON MARCHING AND HAVE OUR VOICES HEARD.

I'm losing ALL respect for the NYCPD. Honestly....they are asking for trouble...the police. Are we a fascist state yet??

18. What happened in Ohio -- ? But there was always that undercurrent ....
In NYC my first real look at them was their effort to create an appearance

of "juvenile delinquency" -- and many young boys did get caught in that trap.

My husband said that he would say to acquaintances going into Police Dept --

"but you're the equivalent of criminals!" - !!

30. They have been building this kind of security force/
homeland security for a long time. Just the first time we have seen them in action on such a large scale. The 9/11 disaster gave the powers in government the opportunity they were looking for, to create militarized security forces all to protect us from the illusive "terrorists". Sort of same as the "Commies" and the Reds in the 50's. And we all remember what happened to Joe McCarthy.
Really created to control us, the 99%. :hippie:

15. I work down near Wall Street (Broad Street to be exact).
Yes, we are a fascist state. I am down here every day and see the barricades and immense numbers of cops STANDING AROUND doing nothing (which gives lie to the Bloomberg's BS about the cops "keeping the peace"). In short, they aren't necessary. I got out of the subway yesterday to see the GESTAatsPOlizei (For non-German speakers, that's the full name of the Gestapo) and helicopters flying overhead. The "cops" were clad in riot gear and helmets. I remarked to two young women with blue hair who were part of the OWS contingent: "You definitely look menacing." So, yes, fascism is no longer "coming," it's here.

10. Bloomberg, Thank you.
By removing the OWS protestors from Zuccotti Park, you have unleashed about ten thousand pissed off demonstrators to roam the streets of NY. What a smart 1%'er you are.

I realize the absolute need for non-violence on our part and totally agree with it. That being said, it would have been so great and justified to see the protestors turn on the bully's on motorcycles and beat the shit out of them. Just to give them a taste of the overwhelming force, violent tactics that they use on peaceful citizens daily. This incident was no different, until they(cops) realized, that being the cowards they are, they didn't have overwhelming numbers to allow them to keep harming and bullying the protestors. They drive through the crowds, pushing people and bullying them, until they realize that they are way outnumbered. They were hitting people with their motorcycles and just generally being asshat bullies.

It would have been great if Bloomberg were in the crowd, trying to throw his weight around and unrecognized, he was hit by one of his motorcycle thugs.

31. and that is just what Bloomie is waiting for,
the protesters to use violence against the police. The police have used violence against the protesters for No reason, imagine what it would be like if we gave them a reason. I remember Kent State. No reason to kill there, but the guard did just that.

11. I just turned on FOX and FRIENDS (yech) with Geraldo
Rivera (a fellow fox talking head)) as their guest. They were decrying the increasing violence of the OWS demonstrators. They claimed that the OWS movement attempted to shutdown wall street yesterday, then they attempted to shut down the subway system, additionally they came across a group of children walking to school, they would not let them pass and they verbally attacked the children..... REINSTATE THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE. Just imagine all of the uninformed (being nice) people watching and believing all of these lies. "Those damned violent protestors should be shot."

It was such a sickening display of propaganda that I wanted to break my tee vee. To his (small) credit, Geraldo did admit that the people in the OWS movement had "some" valid points, although they were being "squandered" because they have refused to release a list of demands. He did give some specific instances of socialism for the wealthy-vs- inequality for the masses, before they were able to change the subject.

They also covered a "counter-demonstration" (consisting of two people near wall street) of some unfortunate (obviously well-off) "businessmen" who were carrying signs because they couldn't get to their wall street jobs, because of the demonstrators. It was probably all staged. They were telling people on the street "get out of here" and "get a job," Oh, the manners of the entitled....

DISGUSTING. I changed back to Current T.V. to watch a show about the oil thugs running Nigeria. Current is great. I do wish they had fewer re-runs and more "anchor" shows featuring progressives.

13. Fox
Nice posts dotymed, but may I kindly suggest that you kill your television, or at the very least not watch Fox News. I don't have access to Cable television, but if I did, and if I voluntarily watched Fox, I would probably die of sheer frustration in a few years.

Sad re Geraldo Rivera -- looked like someone who once wanted to do the right thing --

but caught up in chasing the dollar bill.

21. BS. At one point in this video it looked to me as if the biker cops were
cornered with no way out. Surrounded by protesters. I thought to myself - how do you like being cornered? And then it dawned on me that if the protesters had acted like the police there would have been violence. Our protesters are peace loving human beings.

22. Out numbered a hundred or more to one and yet the horrible "mob"
that the right wing claims exists in the OWS groups never laid a hand on the pigs. And the pigs who beat and pepper spray them and destroy their private property have no fear from themselves eve though they are literally drowning in demonstrators.

Well done OWSers.

Learn a lesson pigs.
