He's the darling to replace Woolsey as she steps down... and frankly I'm not sure anyone else has more progressive support that Solomon. But vote with your eyes wide open, Solomon needs a backbone as well. He's too mealy mouthed for my tastes, and too concerned about image (public perception) rather than speaking to truth to power, he does not, except in these sound bite standard pablem.
he'll continue to be a status quo functionary within, albeit the "progressive" wing of the party, win or lose. Did you notice how much he said we needed a paradigme shift from one side of his mouth, but insisting that we need to work within the system on the other side of his mouth as if we have system that's in any way representative for 99% of the people in this country. He's urging that we "organize" on the street level as if that's worked for us in the past several decades. Sheesh.
Interesting tidbit about the State party apparatus making moves to "throw out" the Progressive Caucus. I haven't been involved in awhile and wasn't aware of that, but shouldn't really come as a big surprise. The Money Wing of the party plays just like the Pukes's. What democracy? How's that working for you so far, Solomon? Still he'd be better than Joe Nation (if he's running again) I think. But just a skosh.
