A public radio host with a show distributed by NPR was fired after Fox News pushed a story about her efforts with October 2011, a fraction of the Occupy DC/Occupy Wall Street movement. The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur gives his take.

1. And yet it's OK for all these NPR people to work for Fox "News"

No doubt that's where Fox got the tip.

2. So, We're surprised

Other corporate networks, who also don't like liberals, don't really care for the word liberals, are firing people who associate themselves with left-wing causes? It isn't really surprising--now firing Juan, that was a little bit of a surprise.

Didn't Bush cut their funding, and change the head of that organization and PBS to a right-wing tool? I forget, but I remember something like that going on.

One should never assume the other corporate networks are not conservative just because they occasionally take a different tack than FOX. They are only the "leftmost representation" on television, not really liberal in any way. They still shill for the MIC (ever see Rachel's military reporting?), pretty much support war when democrats wage it, or huge defense spending when democrats spend it, or half-assed banking and health care bills, when democrats are heading them up.

Yea, the other networks are like the Democrats, not really all that liberal either.

3. I'm glad Cenk is talking about this.

However, he's a bit too kind to NPR, in my opinion.

One would think there could be a tiny oasis of left wing thought. But no.

6. NPR should've told Fox "Once you start firing people for expressing their political views, we will."

When do the Democrats stand up and say f*ck you RepubliCONS? RepubliCONS don't own the world and don't own us. Why are they allowed to do this crap to America?
