5. I think she was channeling the last queen of France.
Not sure, but that's the way it seemed to me.

7. My good sir, Marie Antoinette was not the last Queen of France
Following the Battle of Waterloo, the reactionary Congress of Vienna, led by Metternich and Castlereagh (two scumbuckets admired by Henry Kissinger), imposed the restoration of the Bourbon family on the people of France. Louis XVIII and Charles X, the younger brothers of Louis XVI, reigned successively from 1815 to 1830, when King Charles was run out town by the people. Charles was succeeded by a cousin, Louis Philippe, of the Orleans branch of the Bourbons. Louis Philippe was more moderate than Charles, a particularly hard line monarchist who was probably more hated than Louis XVI during the Revolution. Louis Philippe styled himself not as King of France, but King of the French. He reigned for eighteen years and was overthrown in another popular uprising. No Bourbon king has ruled France since.

The last Queen of Frnace was Maria Amalia, daughter of King Ferdinand of Naples, who married Louis Philippe in 1809.

15. Oh yeah, Marie Antoinette
Edited on Wed Oct-19-11 06:40 PM by Ken Burch
She was the one that was trying to get France to "pray away Les Gays", right?

:sarcasm:

(As I recall, things didn't go too well for Marie...first she was beheaded, then Kirsten Dunst played her in the movie-and it's not clear which was worse.)
