1. Now we know what happened to the movement of the 60s
We lost our moral imperative, it was sold to the highest
bidders.

2. Is it fair to say that Chris Hedges is our Martin Luther King Jr.?
Because this is what keeps coming back to me. Now he is in his element. It's a thing of beauty.

5. I wish everyone on this forum would see this.
I don't believe there is another person out there who can say what Chris Hedges is saying.

And welcome to DU.

4. I like Chris Hedges a lot but ...
We are our "Martin Luther King Jr." We have to be. We are the ones who have to do it. At least people like Hedges can help us articulate things but it is on us. It will survive or fall because of us.

Sorry - I'm ranting a bit. But we need to grow up and realize that we are not going to be saved by a knight in shining armor arriving over the hill. It just ain't gonna happen.

6. I totally agree.
But it is so beautiful to see someone who can articulate. Who does have the in depth experience and knowledge, AND perspective. He had a background that very few have. I liken it to MLK's background.

I cannot be upset about how this happens. Just that it is happening, it appears. And he has been promoting it for quite some time. It's his dream come true too.

11. Wow that was awesome! He really exposes Clinton and Obama.
I wish everyone on this forum would watch this. If I read another post saying Bill Clinton or President Obama needs to go to OWS I'll scream!

Bill Clinton talks a good game but acts like an enemy of the people. President Obama is no liberal, hes a friend and servant of wall street. The only reason they or any other pol wants to associate with OWS is to co-opt their movement and destroy it.

I pray to God that the Occupy movement stays focused on the great task that lies before them. They, their brothers and sisters, and us, here and in in other countries will either free this world from the vile and inhuman capitalists that are destroying us and the planet or we will all be extinguished forever in a few short years from now.

Chris Hedges is one righteous guy!!
