1. I'm so proud of those protesters.
They did not break out in violence even when those cops were heavy handed and abusive.

Can you imagine teabaggers being treated the way these protesters were treated?

4. Only in my mind.
Teabbaggers are real Americans. These protesters are just dirty fucking hippies who hate real Americans. Just as the guys with the badges and the people wearing suits. :hippie:

13. It sure looked bigger
than most of the Tea Party astro turf protests that got months of non-stop coverage with absolutely zero police interference, even when they showed up with fire arms and verbally assaulted Congress members and in at least one instance shouted racial slurs and spit on African American members of congress. I don't think the national press will show any interest unless some of the protesters become violent, then it will be non-stop coverage about Obama's violent, anarachistic left wing followers that want to overthrow the financial system, the government and implement communism (at least that's the way FOX news will spin it, and the rest of the MSM tends to follow whatever slimy path FAUX news leads them down).

6. That was not a police riot.
Sorry. It simply was not. Lots of good people there, though, marching. That's good to see.

8. Not a riot? (No the cops did not smash up a starbucks.)
-those cops didn't break that guys wrist ?!?!
-those young women where not pushed into a pen, harassed, and then maced, point blank, in the face ?
-cops where not overstepping the authority WE GIVE THEM ??

That was a riot of injustice, a riot of oppression, of suppression of people in public spaces,. with much violence,. broken bones, and permanent scars.

The most important scar by far will be the radicalization of many people who may have never been actively opposed to the police-state that protects the bankster class and the wealth they stole from being naturally redistributed to the rest of us,. no one deserves a million dollars a year, these people need to have limits imposed on them because they have shown, and are showing, that they have no internal morality like normal people,. the sociaopathic have taken over,. as we built a system that rewards indifference and greed.

We need change that,.

14. No. A police riot looks much different from that.
I've seen police riots. This was not one of them, at least not as shown in that video.

19. sure
you can always say "I've seen worse" it does not dismiss the brutality I witnessed. The camera I was shooting with does not zoom many of the faces. there is bloody footage available. I may do a re edit later.

11. Mayor Bloomberg and the police are idiots. U.S. citizens, especially protesters are
generally peaceful people. They are law abiding people. However, when the police use intimidating and then violent actions against peaceful people, it causes anger among other law abiding people. Eventually, the anger will build to a point that it will break out from the generally peaceful and law abiding people into an uncontrollable rage. And there will be more of the outraged than the police. They'll will have the arms. The outraged will have the people.

And that is an outcome no one wants to see.

I'm no revolutionary, but I do feel the outrage, disgust, and anger when I see a video of a young man stopping to talk to a police officer and see the police officer grab the young man and attempt to throw him on his head, twice. And with the help of another officer on the second attempt. It was, in my opinion, an attempted murder.
