Something tells me that if O'Reilly was telling the truth, we wont be having so much terrorism problem in the US. Because if terrorists hated us fr our freedom and prosperity, they would be all over europe right now

2. We were bombing Iraq on and off for 10 years before 9/11
And by our unquestioning obedience to Israel -through massive military and economic support, and routinely blocking any censure by the UN- we'd been bombing them by proxy for 30+ years prior to 9/11.

And that's just the Muslims.

17. Was that the war in which the US dropped more tonnage of bombs on one-half a small
country than the US dropped in Europe during WWII? Such mere piffles must not count with those of O'Lielly's ilk. :patriot:

7. I hate Fox News with a passion.
Who in the fuck made them arbiter of patriotism? I agree with every word Tony said. And I'm going to listen to some of his music right now.

9. It's Fox, Lie, Lie, Lie; Deny, Deny, Deny ...
.

Pal ese,

No accountability and no responsibility and definitely no facts, that is Fox/Murdoch Media. Why is any one even pretending that they expect anything differently. Truth be damned, it is the pursuit of power that motivates pitiful specimens appearing on Fox.

The more Fox speaks lies, the more one only has to speak the truth. The truth is it is fox, lie, lie, lie; deny, deny, deny.

14. Yes, that's horrible
Here are Nixon and Kissinger pushing for mass-murder against Cambodia:

Nixon: "It is a disgraceful performance, and they are going to get off their ass and start doing something on it. I want gunships in there. That means armed helicopters, DC-3s, anything that will destroy personnel that can fly. I want it done!

"I want them to hit everything. I want them to use the big planes, the small planes, everything they can."

After talking to Nixon, Dr Kissinger calls his deputy, Gen Alexander Haig, to convey the order.

" doesn't want to hear anything," says Dr Kissinger, stressing the need for secrecy. "It's an order, it's to be done. Anything that flies on everything that moves. You got that?"

The transcript notes an unintelligible noise in reply, that "sounded like Haig laughing".

And mass-murder they did, which included famine. Then the Khmer Rouge was then able to gain power.

Edited on Thu Sep-22-11 08:26 AM by David Sky
O'Reilly's show goes on, his memory goes off, never a historical fact he can't misstate!

And, as Bill would so often say...

"How can you pinheads explain that? You can't explain that!"

12. Hiroshima and Nagasaki
I was going to post pictures, but they are just too graphic. Dropping atomic bombs on civilians doesn't count? O'Reilly must have flunked American History.

13. Bombing The Middle East

If I recall the U.S. 6th Fleet was called in to bomb Lebanon a few times, in the 60's and 80's. As someone here already mentioned we bombed Iraq, after first assisting Iraq to bomb Iran, and Israel to bomb Iran, Lebanon, and flatten the West Bank. Clinton bombed the Sudanese Pharmaceutical factory, leading to the deaths of thousands in the region without medicine, not to mention sending cruise missiles into Afghan villages. Libya got hammered a few times by us, and still is. Then there's U.S. covert activity (terror) in Syria '57-58, with the French in Algeria in the 60's, and Morocco in '83. And the U.S. shot down the commercial Iranian 747 killing all civilians on board. If we didn't have Israel and other client states in the region to do our dirty work for us, I have a feeling we would have bombed a lot more.

15. I witnessed some of Nixon/Kissinger's B-52 carpet-bombing in Laos & Cambodia
However, US forces weren’t in Laos. We weren’t in Cambodia either, but Nixon and Kissinger were bombing the shit out of both. On a mission over Dak To near the Cambodian border, I watched as one of Kissinger's Arc-Light (B-52s flying at about 35,000 feet) bombing attacks pulverized villages in northeastern Cambodia.

On another night mission during operation Lam Son 719 - unarmed and scared shitless - I made a turn southbound, just short of the seventeenth parallel, for another ECW run down the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The jungle darkness just northwest of Tchepone, Laos, suddenly exploded with a carpet of bombs - nowhere near the Ho Chi Minh Trail - from the unseen B-52s. From my vantage point at three thousand feet above the Namkok Valley floor, the eruption of the earth - with streets of fire and visible shock waves - was awesome. I thought of Kurtz: “The horror, the horror.”

B-52 Arc-Light saturation bombing of peasant villages, Mr. O'Reilly: we killed millions this way. Look it up.

18. What a dope
Where those pictures from Vietnam I watch on the network news just made up?

While you're answering that one, Billo, you should read Vonnegut's introduction to Slaughterhouse Five.
