The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur explains why the show is coming to Current TV (and staying on YouTube). Learn more about the show here:

1. A marriage made in heaven, and another kick in the private parts of
MSNBC! Let us not forget, MSNBC is General Electric!!

MSNBC is a study in how to ruin a good thing. All they have left now are Rachel and Schultz.

Sharpton and O'Donnell would work anywhere, and really aren't worthy of a five night a week show. Chris Matthews hasn't had a new thought since 2008.

Keep an eye on Chris Hayes, and his new Saturday morning show on MSNBC, tho, that's probably going to be a winner like Rachel is.

6. Would like to see a replay of his show instead of lock down
or lockup, whatever. It would be good for west coast. Don't know why Schultz is on only four nights. Sharpton has good ratings, O'Donnell knows his stuff, Chris Matthews is too interested in speculation than educating public on Fox lies.:hi: :hi: :bounce: :bounce:

8. Sharpton does not have good ratings. He only had 134,000 in the demo on
Monday night. That places him in last place behind all of the other MSNBC prime time hosts and his competition on Fox News beat him by better than 2-1. I wouldn't call that "good" ratings.

25. While I love Sharpton as a political pundit, as
a TV host, not so much.

21. Just last year, or maybe even early this year.
GE still seems to have a lot of influence on content, though, and Comcast is even worse. Seriously? They let Cenk go, and kept Buchanan?

5. Truly great development for the sword of truth
While I'm SURE I'm not alone, I wrote Keith & Current AS SOON AS I heard that Cenk was leaving MSNBC. I urged them to make TYT another cog in the machine they endeavored to construct. I'm tickled to see this happen. It's nothing but positive for those of us that care about our fellow Americans.

9. This is going to help the MSNBC commentators like Rachel, O'Donnell
and Ed too. Both KO and Cenk were always being censored when they were on MSNBC. Those still there have some leverage now. If they cannot speak their minds - they have a place to go.

11. Except that some of them might be locked into contracts and not free to leave.
I think that Rachel recently signed a new three year contract.

15. I was assuming that. But the threat that they can leave when the
contract is up is a pretty big one if you are as popular as those three.

10. I'm glad to see Cenk getting another cable news show.
I thought that he got a raw deal at MSNBC. At Current he will have no constraints and he will be able to say exactly what he thinks. I'm happy for him.

16. If you don't have Current...
http://current.com/blog/93455331_cenk-uygur-and-the-young-turks-are-coming-to-current-are-you.htm

...if you still don't know where to find Current, here's a list of where we are on these major cable and satellite providers:

AT&T Uverse: Channel 189
Comcast: Channel 107
DirecTV: Channel 358
Dish Network: Channel 196
Time Warner Cable: Channel 103 (NY), Channel 142 (LA)
Verizon FiOS: Channel 192
If you don't see your provider on that list, all you need to know is your zip code. Go to http://www.current.com/ and enter your zip code in the window under "GET CURRENT TV AT HOME" to see if your cable provider carries Current.

Don't get Current? The channel finder will allow you to send an email directly to your cable provider to demand Current TV.

Join the army, tune into Current if you can and if not, let your cable operator know you deserve to hear an independent voice of news and politics. Tell them "The Young Turks" sent you.

Current needs more original content, and Keith couldn't ask for a better lead-in.

29. Immelt Proud Corportist
He is the big boss (GE) of all our favorite msnbc liberals. Never forget the corporate media wants to coopt liberals and progressives, even socialists. They want to be God, we the people can't let them.
