that I could have this option. I have said for years that when 70 or 80% of the people poll one way, and the politicians vote the opposite way, there is a serious problem.
Of course, I suppose this could lead to some big problems when people who are uninformed start to have this option. So the problem is, how do we do this without issues----something like a test prior to voting where you have to show at least a rudimentary understanding of the issue??? I had a US Rep who, when she had a poll question on her website, asked several questions prior to getting your vote of yes or no---so that (I hope) she could gauge the voter's understanding of the core issue as well as where they stand on it. You could not just vote that you opposed Social Security, you also had to let her know what you knew about the issue. I loved that.
