Richard Branson explains what he would do about the job market, while making excellent points about unfettered free-market capitalism (notably at the 7 minute mark). Also saying that the riots occur when a few hold most of the wealth.

If you don't want to watch the full video skip to the 7 minute mark for Branson's personal views on capitalism.

4. I trust you mean Kudlow.
An abrasive, obnoxious man. Me no like!

I do like Sir Richard and appreciate the way he turned the questions around. Entrepreneurs, who "like myself, are first lucky" should come together and "give something back." I like his idea of allowing people who want to and can afford it to work fewer hours so the employers can hire more people.

8. I didn't go for the "Be charitable to the little people" attitude coming off him.
And that hair....who told him that looked good, Stevie Wonder's stylist (who should be shot, IMO)?

2. Wow. Haven't seen images of him in a while.
He looks like a cross between Jesus, Kenny Rogers, and David Bowie.

5. We can "Work Share".. work part-time....
Edited on Wed Sep-14-11 01:30 AM by lib2DaBone
Brilliant... I love the way the caviar and champagne crowd thinks.

The only problem with working part-time.. is that taxes go up daily, gas is going back to $4, food is sky high and no one can afford health insurance.

Larry Kudlow is a heroin addict.. the reason I don't watch CNBC.

10. Did you not listen to a thing he said?
I mean, it's clear the interviewer didn't, but I would hope better for us...

There exist, at most companies, a percentage of employees willing to do this sort of thing. Right now. This moment.

Will it account for the 9% unemployed that are actively seeking work? I don't know, but it's better than no job at all.

6. Kudlow just did not listen to his guest. Branson has a clue but is so
wealthy that he can't really give advice on a just democratic economy.

9. "Flash Riots"?!?
All the filthy lucre on this planet will not save these uber wealthy corporatists when the hoi polloi FINALLY decides to stop bending over and grabbing their collective ankles.

11. Compassionate CEO
We need more CEOs in this country like Branson. His idea for immediately finding jobs for the unemployed, while not a "cure all", would help immensely.
