Marie Diamond, Think Progress, joins Thom Hartmann. Even if Republican Members of Congress go along with the President's jobs plan - it still has another hurdle to clear thanks to one crooked Governor down in Florida. I'll tell you how Governor Rick Scott is screwing Floridians out of tens of thousands of jobs! Florida Governor Rick Scott and his Republican buddies in the State Legislature are already suggesting they'll refuse as much as $7.5 billion dollars Florida could receive to fund schools and infrastructure projects as part of the America Jobs Act.The White House estimates that over 60,000 jobs could be created in Florida alone - if Rick Scott and the Republicans take the money. But as the Republican Speaker of the House in Florida - Dean Cannon - said last week, "It sounds like the President still doesn't get it...the answer to the current economic problem is not spending more money."

1. I have only lived in Florida for about 10 years.
But of all the states I have lived in,(4) I've never been in one that was so blatantly corrupt.
It's front page news once or twice a week and it's like people can't read, or can't comprehend the level of corruption. The crooks keep getting re elected, they steal more, make the headlines and get re elected.
Now we have this medicare thief running the state and attempting to privatize schools, roads, parks and prisons. If the other 49 states had any sense, they would kick us out of the union.
Now, having said all of that, please come to Florida and buy my house so I can move to a more moderate state like Texas.

2. It's a coordinated effort
"The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

The crook in FL is just doing his part.
