This is the song Victor was writing WHEN HE WAS KILLED-that's why the song stops in mid-lyric. The words of this song were smuggled out of that stadium(now called the Estadio Victor Jara)hand-to-hand, person-to-person. He had even made a tune, but it was lost(singing it would probably have got those who were passing along the words killed).

In honor of the victims of the OTHER 9/11-the one paid for by American tax-dollars and carried out by the still-not-dead-for-some-reason Henry Kissinger.

Illustrating the fact that the words of freedom will always live.

(The words were translated into English by Joan Jara-Victor's English-born widow, and read by the radical British poet Adrian Mitchell)
