2. Located in inner Mongolia. Said here to be a government project.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ordos_City
Ordos is one of the richest regions of China. With a nominal per-capita GDP of US$14,500 in 2008, it is ranked ahead of the capital city of China, Beijing. It is extremely rich in natural resources, having one sixth of the coal reserve in China. The pillars of its economy are textile (wool), coal mining, petrochemicals, electricity generation and production of building materials.

Ordos is known for its lavish government projects, including the new Ordos City, a city of exquisite buildings and abundant infrastructure seldom used by residents.

5. Good point
I fear this will be the future of America, or whatever succeeds it, once the Koch Brother$ have taken over. And you won't see any of it on the six o'clock news, but right wing morons own all the television stations and, even though they personally know it's fact, they'll tell the public that global warming is a hoax.

If they are truly a communist country...

What are a squatters rights in China?

The Chinese had a response to this story.

"We want to thank the American Consumer for all your cash and we look forward to more stimulus money!"
