the uses of war.

Max and Stacy always have an engaging way of looking at things. I learn something from them every time.

2. refreshing honesty..

I understand how hesitant he's been to rightfully bash Israel. I'm Jewish too & it is hard, damn hard to come out & say how incredibly awful the Jewish state has been in so many different ways. I didn't think it was possible to have a more oppressive form of apartheid than S. Africa but this is. They could do it, they could start a worldwide nuclear war if something doesn't change the dynamics in a fundamental fashion. It's going to get scarier than the Cuban Missile Crisis..

4. almost all of the Jews from Israel I have met are horrified at what the hardliners in the Knesset

have done, but they feel somewhat powerless to stop it, as the 'Arab card' is dropped on so many of the swing voters there. Also, the ultra-right settlers and their supporters are ruthless in attacking the left voices of moderation. Perhaps this economic uprising will re-invigorate the peace movement. Let's hope so.
