2012 Republican presidential candidate and Texas Governor Rick Perry received applause from the GOP presidential debate when he touted the death penalty executions in his state. The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

2. Well I am glad the question was asked.
Now we know it isn't just the extremist politicians that are the problem(not that we didn't know), but the crowd didn't care that innocent people were executed either. This is the root of the real problem, not the idiot Rick Perry, but the fact that he has supporters.

4. As I've said many time on DU. Republicans love death. Soldiers dying for oil,

people dying because they don't have health insurance, elderly people starving to death because they don't have money are the things Republicans love more than anything else. In today's society death equals profit and power and profit is all the GOP cares about.

Applauding execution is normal for people who love death.

7. R's get turned on by death, bullying, revenge
Those things can be addicting...and I know I have to fight NOT to get off on revenge, because I do recognize that revenge is addicting.
