3. the answer is simple, Obama's speech would have been during the GOP debate, and that was not going
happen with Boehner in charge of the House. Also, Pakman is saying that the GOP would want Obama to speak ASAP, if they cared about jobs, but again, that another assumption. The GOP will completely disagree with the Obama approach, both on philosophical and brutal partisan grounds.

Not that the GOP has any answers of their own that will will do anything positive. They will just attempt, for the most part to further the corporatist agenda. The sad thing is, so will the majority of Democrats. Even a big public initiative programme (no matter what platitudes and set-asides are laid upon it) will end up in Fortune 500 coffers, just like the so-called health care reform.

4. DeMint has Obama down pat. Obama says one thing and does another. He might be a Republican, but he
doesn't have wax in his ears :P Good point about Boehnerhead.

6. If Jobs Are GOP's "#1 Concern," Wouldn't They Want Obama To Keep His?
The only reason Obama can behave so rightist so often is because the GOP still scares the crap out of the USA and the world!
