“America’s future depends on jobs… but we can’t just made jobs out of thin air,” she said. “We need to build the kind of future that creates jobs, and that keeps creating them generation after generation. We need a future of growth and opportunity.”

Warren added that the U.S. needed to expand its manufacturing base, so that American products could be sold around the world. She thinks tax breaks and bailouts will do little to help create American jobs, and called for investments in education and infrastructure.

“Now is the time to rebuild America’s middle class,” Warren continued. “Instead of subsidizing the past — those who’ve already made it — we need to invest in the future.”

“I’m going to keep fighting for middle class families and working people, whether I fight as an outsider or I fight from the floor of the Senate,” she said.

2. America's future depends on infrastructure hiring.
Which depends on us paying for it by ending the wars and ending the crap tax breaks for the rich who aren't creating nearly enough jobs with those tax breaks.

It depends on ending job offshoring. It's utterly appalling this practice is allowed to continue when there's been near-zero job growth in this country for 11 years.

It also depends on kicking out corporate leaders who are nothing but high-roller thief criminals rigging the rules in their favor and creating a zero-sum corporate environment.

3. But how far are you willing to explore outside the box ...
...because a stimulus effort won;t be big enough.

What if XYZ Engineering and Construction says - We'll build that bridge over I-##, no charge....But we want toll revenue for the next 30 years and we want the right to sell the toll rights to a third party if we choose.

Employment - yes
Infrastructure - yes
Paying crappy tolls for 30 plus years - yep

But is does stimulate.

4. No. The corporate, toll idea will take us right back to
medieval England. Each count will charge a different toll. Who will enforce the right of the corporations to collect their tolls? Police paid from public coffers, from the tax money of the citizens? Pretty soon, the corporations will not only own the roads but the police, the fire department, everything -- just like the medieval lords -- and we ordinary people will no longer have the political rights we now enjoy -- which are weak enough as it is.
