PBS NewsHour today showed an excerpt of the documentary "If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front," which looks at the radical environmental group through the transformation of one of its members, Daniel McGowan. Of course, right-wing blowhards would like us to think that 'eco-terrorists' are a bigger threat than the right-wing militias. Mmmm-hmmm. Sure. Can't recall how many times I've read about environmentalists stockpiling enough military-grade weaponry to take on a small country.

People who try to protect the environment are made the #1 target of the FBI and other government agencies while the corporations are allowed to destroy any and everything they desire.

According to their perverse reasoning, I would be included in the ranks of Eco-Terrorists if for no other reason than I belong to some of the groups listed below. That is freaking insane! Although, when you see what is taking place around the world, attacks on property really don't seem as extreme as what the REAL Eco-Terrorists are doing every day. At some point, it seems as though the only way to fight these corporate thugs is to resort to the type of tactics that ELF used. Corporations kill large numbers of people and will continue to kill people as long as it feeds their bottom line. ELF on the other hand has never harmed any people which is even acknowledged by the FBI and DHS.

This is truly a screwed up country and a screwed up way of thinking by our government.
