Maybe it's just the cynic in me..but I wasn't surprised that an incident like that happened. I watched the way the left was mistreated under the Bush Jr. years...& watched people go absolutely nuts after Obama was elected

I watched as the attitudes from the right turned from annoyance to disrespect to outright hatred of the left, & these groups are a reflection of that, fed by Fox 'news' & other media along with misinformation from republican politicians.

I watched all the violent talk & imagery ("those were surveyor's marks!") from all the talking heads, doing their best to dial up the crazy for their own reasons. Granted, grifters like Palin say whatever they think will make them popular. What's it to her if anyone gets hurt along the way? She got paid didn't she?

I believe there will be lots more incidents like Gifford's, all passed off as 'lone wolf' events & eliminating resources to check up on right wing hate groups just makes it easier to happen.

these groups are armed and organized to the frickin teeth.

most of them have 1 goal in mind only..............get rid of a black president by whatever means neccessary.

i'm thinkin though that some of these groups are forgetting something..........there are elements on our side who are just as well equipped to deal with them.

10. I think these R/W extremists are a dangerous and uninformed

group. If they realized how much Obama's legislation mirrors their "hero's" in the t-party they (seemingly) would want to protect him. IMO, a lot of this violence is aimed at skin color. Obviously, I have many issues with President Obama's decisions (many), but when you hear constantly that Obama is a Muslim, it creeps you out. I have wasted too much time defending President Obama's policies. When I hear how he is a Muslim, from people, I just laugh. It is usually the R/W prosperous "Christians" that I hear this from. Many think that since I do not respect his policies that I will agree with their assessment. This is a R/W country. "They" have tried to make that so.

It is no wonder that only the left wing(?) (lol, actually the honest American) is subject to wiretapping, "sneak and peeks", etc.

Ours is a police state.

Yo! Rachael? It appears that our own government (DHS) is colluding to turn a blind eye towards groups likely to
assassinate our president. How about interviewing several of the ex-DHS agents who got fired for doing their
freaking job?

At the same time, this also raises other questions, like: how could Obama not want to insure his own safety? and
Why is it that Obama does not simply order DHS to continue investigating these RW crazies?
