Gil Smart says that if conservatives think tax cuts create jobs, maybe we ought to REQUIRE that companies that get the breaks create new positions - or else.

1. The ONLY reason companies create jobs

is to fill a production need that will generate profit.

Jobs are NEVER created by private industry just to pump money into the economy and create demand.

2. That's not the story they sold.

They told us that if companies received tax breaks it would allow them to hire people.

Just like they say less regulations would do the same.

We know it was all a lie so stop giving them the tax breaks.

Especially the one they receive for hiring outside of the country.

3. That is why the government needs to create Living wage Jobs.

Our infrastructure is crumbling. Start there. It is the workers that are the engine that drives the economy. Not Wall Street or the big banks.
Let the big guys sink or swim on their own. Bailing them out of their gambling debts only continues the status quo as we have already seen.

6. How do you define what a living wage is though? Would it be region by region?

After all the price of goods and services cost more in Alaska than in most of the other states so surely they would need a higher wage up there or would you institute price controls on everything like they tried in the former USSR?

4. JOB BREAKS for large companies.

You create jobs, THEN, you'll get a break on taxes.
