might have been cut off. "This is ok because it was who we WERE" . I'm curious about who he is now. I know we all grow as we age. I'm glad he has some pride about his music in the past. It just left me with some questions.
Still in wars, still prejudice, now with Muslims in addition to brown and black skinned people. I can only wonder where this country would be today if these 3 men had not been killed.
I was born in NJ... graduated high school in 65. I wrote to military men who were drafted, went out with them but in 1968 I changed. I saw the riots after MLK was killed. I saw the train go by in NJ with Bobby Kennedy who was killed go by..
I read the obituaries in the local paper of my classmates dying.
I changed my views. I read more.
and I ended up marrying in 68 and going to Canada with my husband on Woodstock weekend in 1969 because of Viet nam and his orders to go there.
I have never regretted it.
This trailer brought me back to those days, those songs and those attitudes...
We need another big march...in all big cities. We need it very much.. We are bigger than the Tea Baggers.
