1. Bill Clinton wasn't a progressive.
He was a fiscal conservative social liberal by his own description, and heavily backed by the DLC and identical in his outlook to Rockefeller Republicans.

He was a good President, of course, and more liberal than Obama. Clinton rejected the Healthcare plan that Obama would eventually sign into law.

If he is a Progressive, I would have to ask how you define progressive.

He and his economic team helped pave
the way for the horrible abuses of the
banking sector that we are now suffering
from.
