2. I don't know why Obama didn't mention Republicans in his release on the downgrade

If he doesn't use this I think he's nuts. This S&P report spells out how the downgrade is the Tea Party's fault.

Here's my thinking on what happens if he goes "all-in" on a campaign against the dangerous antics in Congress:

1) It works- people dislike the Tea Party MUCH more than they dislike Obama. He's reelected with a good chance of a Democratic house again (after all, who would agree with him on how terrible Congress is and then vote to keep their congressman in power?)
2) It doesn't work. He loses, but was never going to be able to have a non-Tea Party controlled Congress anyway. If 2013-2017 are like 2011, what's the point of being President? So you can fight tooth and nail over whether or not to destroy the economy??

This has really gotten ridiculous. If the American people don't see that, then they'll get the government they deserve (if they haven't already!)
