from HuffingtonPost:

" Now that the debate over raising the nation's debt ceiling has been temporarily resolved, the White House has pledged, once again, to "pivot" to jobs.

If the promise is giving you a sense of déjà vu, you're not alone.

In his very first address to Congress in February of 2009, President Barack Obama promised an agenda focused on job creation. Following every major subsequent event of his presidency -- be it a concerted campaign like health care reform or, much more frequently, an unwelcome crisis -- he has been forced to reiterate that he will now focus on jobs. Just how many times has he made the jobs promise? Watch the video.

A jobs report released today showed a slightly less pessimistic view of the American economy. In July, 117,000 jobs were added, beating expectations, and the unemployment rate dropped a fraction -- from 9.2 percent to 9.1 percent.

But it's far from good news. A closer look at the unemployment rate reveals the drop came almost solely from Americans dropping out of the labor force.

1. Some drop out because they can't afford to drive around
looking for that part-time minimum wage job especially with the price of gasoline. Then if you find a part-time minimum wage job it may be too far away to actually make more than what you pay in gasoline to go to the job.

Hours: 4 hours

Rate of pay: 7.25

Daily wage: 29.00

Less taxes: 23.20

Gasoline: -11.40

Daily adj pay 11.80

Now, is it really worth it? That does not include any upkeep on the car or insurance.

2. Beep Beep Beep
The sound of Obama laying down a firm stand and then backing out of it.
