1. Ok,
Number one, the discussion isn't about cutting the deficit and/or the debt. The real argument is who's going to pay for it, and right now we're losing.

Number two, guys, we've got to stop calling these entitlements. It's not a neutral word. They should be called earnings. It's our money, we paid into it, and now they want to take that money and use it to pay the bills. It could be argued that taking that money and using it to pay down the debt is stealing.

savings of the poor to pay for their own tax cuts.

If they don't want to take their Social Security because they don't believe in Social Security, let each of them, individually, sign their Social Security checks over to the Federal government.

I need my Social Security. If they don't, fine. But why should they, who have so much, begrudge me the money I saved.

Social Security is, after all, an insurance system, and benefits are nothing more than money we earned by paying premiums during our working lives.
