4. WHat
what made it work was their chemistry and delivery. Jane played it serious and Bill's mannerisms were just so over the top. I wish she would come back next week to read some of Sarah Palin's emails.

9. Okay, I'm convinced--Weiner should resign.
Or at the very least his wife should take away his cell phone. Seriously, this 'way too funny. I don't get HBO, so thanks for the post. Nice to start the weekend with a good laugh!

Just as a side note, I'm truly disappointed in Anthony. Had placed great hope in him, admired him, even sent him money. How are the mighty fallen!

Edited on Sat Jun-11-11 12:42 PM by demwing
The female was more explicit than Weiner.

I'm n=more convinced than ever that the guy's just a red (hot) blooded American. He likes sex, and isn't in to anything illegal, like youngsters or goats.

Everyone keeps saying Weiner should grow up. I'd say he has, and the rest of the country needs to join him.

He appears to be good at whatever he sets his mind to. Too bad it wandered in this direction.

43. All this proved was that he was thinking with the wrong head!
And, this also proves that this has NOTHING to do with his daytime job, which he should keep.

Agree that he should redeem himself, which I predict he will do as a father. Parenthood has a way of changing that perspective.

13. That Was Hilarious
Weiner is going through 7 kinds of Hell right now, he's really paying for getting his freak on computer screen wise with this gal from Vegas, for one thing his personal life is in the toilet to whatever extent and for whatever time.

Someday people in the public eye will figure out that other people will find and track this kind of lurid stuff.

Love it that Jane was not only OK with doing it,she really got into it, what a cool lady, rock on sis. One thing is clear - this kind of chatter sounds ridiculous away from the throes of titillation.

I do pretty much agree though with what Jeanine Garafalo said about "Weinergate", it doesn't affect the public negatively at all, that there are real issues and policies that are making life very hard for average folks...and those issues never get much of a foothold with the maintream news as they search for the next shiny oject.

14. OMG. That dialogue was so pathetic for real but funny for TV.
I would not know how to have a conversation like that (dumb) with a spouse or lover much less a stranger(and not a prude at all).

The political insertions made me laugh aloud.

I am a total sinner but have never understood the appeal of tobacco or electronic sex (and my "are you kidding" responses) just because of the mystery that makes us all different.

That exchange is something other than flirting, just pathetically weird.

Maybe Rep Weiner should be a comedy writer? One wonders on how many potential partners he "screened"?

I like Rep Weiner in general as a pol and believe in the right to personal privacy but the revelation of Weiner's habit is a really stupid indescretion on his part.

This is the my first and last Weiner post.

PS Impeach and prosecute Clarence Thomas.

17. The future king of England had his sex talk with his mistress at the
time, intercepted and disseminated for public consumption also. People thought at the time that it was more than weird and that it would destroy the moarchy.

All I remember from it was his expression of how much loved her beginning with 'I wish I was a tampax' and although I never particularly liked either of them, a weird thing happened, I ended up being more upset with the violator of his privacy than with him.

Apparently after the initial shock and the comedy routines etc. the public ended up feeling the same way.

It didn't destroy the monarchy and I guess people figured that what seems normal in a private sexual relationship, when exposed to the light of day, were their own privacy to be invaded in such a way, they might not fare any better.

Since the release of the penis pic it seems that Weiner's poll numbers have gone up. So maybe the public here is reacting the same way. Who is more reprehensible, the person being exposed or the one who exposed him?

Clinton who endured months, years in fact of having his penis be the subject of Starr's pornographic 'report' and late night comedy, plus the spectacle of so-called serious legal analysts supposedly attempting to analyze the legal implications of discovering that Paula Jones' description of it might be correct, and how that could be determined, the public appeared to have a similar reaction. In the end, the voyeurs were judged to be more reprehensible diminishing his own behavior by comparison to 'less' reprehensible. His presidency survived and he left office as one of the most popular presidents.

My druthers is that the narrative never hit the news cycle and you are hopefully and probably likely correct in analogy.

The media is shameful.

21. Sorry if I gave that impression I didn't think you did, I was just reminded
by this video of Charles and Clinton and how hopeless it seemed at the time, but in the end how the public basically didn't like the whole mess and would have probably preferred they had never been put through it.

No argument on the media, it is a total disgrace.

39. Oh and YOUR sex talk is done "properly" and totally rocks, right?
ANY communicative sexual exchange between two people, read on stage, in front of an audience, with comedic effect is going to sound "pathetically weird" or perverse. Oh no, that's right, pardon me. People have sex talk like romance scenes reminscent of Gone With the Wind: "Oh yes, my darling, my passions and loins for you grow temperate and thou doth make me swelter with longing for thee." Right, that's how all the people who are pointing fingers and wincing talk right? So many f'ing hypocrites in the world...

If human life is anything, it's a constant facade, the putting on of a good show, while usually pretending to be elevated above and beyond the things we criticize. One of the few times people are inhibitionless is during sex -- or should one's social mask also be worn then too? I love how people grandstand and try to pretend that they themselves have no secrets or things, that if made public, would be any less humiliating. People and the media are fools for blowing this out of proportion. But then again, we are a sad, stupid, and dishonest race.

16. Bwah! Too funny!
On some weird level that reminded me of when they had people read the Nixon tapes on TV during the Watergate scandal. After that, "expletive deleted" quickly made its way into common use. Some people still use it. lol

A local DJ used to call his mom and have her read out Prince lyrics on the radio. Amazing how some things sound so funny out of context.

37. It's a good thing no One cared for my conversations whenmy future hubby
Edited on Sun Jun-12-11 05:23 AM by glowing
At the time (now hubby) lived in 2 diff towns and had Phone sex on a regular basis. I know my sis in law did w/ her hubby when he was in Iraq. I'm not sure who doesn't do this that I know. Shoot, i have an ex from college I'm still good friends w/ and our sexual innuendo is over the top. But we r just amused by it. IRS rather healthy conversation. Seems as thought recently married weiner should hang up the texting and computing and didn't figure it out yet. But it does take time to figure out what married feels like. I didnt really feel married for the first six mos. When we bought our home, that seemed lime a bigger commitment into the marriage with such a big financial tie to each other.

Btw: online porn grosses huge sales. What if weiner went and pd online for one of those visual online chats... We wouldn't know?! Maybe he should have trilled there instead of on twitter?
