Former Senator and Presidential Candidate John Edwards has been indicted on six felony counts for illegal use of campaign funds to allegedly hide his mistress Rielle Hunter from the public's view.

This video presents a kind of history of events that led up to where we are now: with some Dems accuing other Demos of going weak on U.S. Policy as it applied here.

I totally disagree.

But, in total, it's a fast and unfortunate fall for a man who, at one point in 2007, was the front-runner to be President of The United States.

The video has a song that asks if you look into the mirror, do you like what's looking back at you?

That's the perfect question for John Edwards.

1. Another question came to my mind. Why has Clarence Thomas had
so many years of illegal activity without any court action? Or why has AIG, the credit cards, and the banks been able to fraud the tax payers? Just don't see how Edwards scandal deserves more tax payer money thrown at it than the bigger illegal fish?

3. Saddest of all is the fact that, unlike Barack Obama, John
Edwards understands economics. John Edwards was the only candidate with the courage to point out that Wall Street has no clothes -- and when you look at the naked truth, our balance of payments is hopelessly in the red.

Americans will not have good jobs, be able to pay for health care, education and all the things that Obama recognizes that we need until we end or rewrite our trade agreements to make them fair.

Americans have permitted Wall Street and Walmart to shut down the American manufacturing sector. We will continue to "drive off the cliff" until we return to manufacturing goods for ourselves and exporting finished products to other countries in exchange for the raw materials that we have to purchase for our manufacturing plants.

Obama has done nothing to improve our economy. And he can do nothing to improve our economy because he doesn't understand how economics works. Obama's undergraduate degree was in foreign relations. None of that math stuff for him.

John Edwards has an undergraduate degree in textile plant management. Earning that degree requires taking at least a rudimentary course in business including economics. John Edwards grew up in a factory community.

John Edwards' dishonesty was nothing compared to the dishonesty that has gone on in the higher ranks of the government of Chicago under the Daley machine that has controlled the city's politics for so long.

If anyone doubts the truth of what I am saying, they need to read Matt Taibbi's Griftopia. It has a chapter on Chicago and describes a deal under which the City of Chicago lost enormous amounts of money in a contract to sell the revenue from city parking to a group organized by Morgan Stanley. Yes, the Morgan Stanley whose former employee, a Daly brother is now Obama's Chief of Staff.

Read the book before you react emotionally. Griftopia is out there on the shelves. And any DUer who thinks that Obama will be re-elected in 2012 without revelations on the facts about the Dalys' deal with Morgan Stanley being headlined at some point is naive.

Edwards is a good attorney. The deal offered him must have been insulting. The Obama Justice Department is being petty. Obama is just jealous because with every passing day, Edwards is proved right and Obama is proved wrong about unlimited free trade and its effect on our economy.

4. Remember Elixabeth Edwards
You should remember there are a lot of people who are upset with John Edwards fooling around on Elizabeth Edwards as she was dying.

6. I am one of them.

In addition to being a big fan of Elizabeth Edwards, I felt that John Edwards' message and views on the issues were the most insightful. He really could have helped our country. Because of his stupid involvement with that Rielle Hunter, he ruined his chance for the presidency to say nothing of the economic future of our country.

Nonetheless this lawsuit is meritless and shameful. It is purely political.

5. WHY?
Am I missing something here? Why is this money (no matter how outlandish and/or immoral) considered federal campaign finance contributions? What federal statute applies here? What federal statute was violated by John Edwards regarding campaign finance? Surely, the feds are kidding . . . !!

And, no, I am no John Edwards "hugger" . . . instead, it seems that there's nothing that sticks to Edwards in federal campaign finance law that would cause an indictment to issue . . . ??? I shall follow this case w/ interest.

P. S. Maybe these "contributions" were checks that had "contribution to John Edwards federal election campaign" written on them . . . !! LOL
