9. It's an interesting question.

Do they deserve to be on a list like this with the likes of mass murderers like Pol Pot, Hitler, Stalin? It's the difference between direct causation and systemic causation. Conservatives seem to understand the direct causation very well, but they don't seem to have a clue on the latter. Maybe that's what allows Bush and Cheney to do the evil things they've done with smiles, or sneers on their faces. Direct causation in the case of Iraq and indirect in the case of future environmental disasters (not to mention the possibility of human extinction), financial philosophies and policies that will wreck, best case scenario, the U.S. economy and at worst send the whole world into economic depression.
