Today on ABC’s This Week, host Christiane Amanpour wondered whether Newt Gingrich will run in to some difficulties running for president considering he has been married three times. Noting that Gingrich recently converted to Catholicism, NPR’s Cokie Roberts said that “there are an awful lot of divorced Catholics who are very pained by this situation of their own divorce and feeling like they can’t be Catholic,” adding, “and to have this sudden new Catholic with three wives is not going to play well with them.” Conservative columnist George Will, however, said that Gingrich’s problems extend far beyond social issues:

3. Newt is concerned about one thing....
that would be Newt, he will run as long as he can get money and then use the exposure to bolster his lecture circuit, think tank and book writing careers. Just as Trump recently made a bunch of noise this is more about time in the limelight (and a really bored political commentator media without any real candidates) than anything else.

5. We should keep Newt out for his own sake. Being president
is a big responsibility, more than being speaker. What happens when he loves his country so much that he works way too hard? There goes wife number three.

7. they're right. Gingrinch is a 1990's retread of bad policy, bad ideas
and limited thinking.

The only 'big thinking' he does is when he's passing a log.

9. Newt will be able to raise a lot of money ...
... I think that is his only motive in this.
