3. That looked like
a bad StarTrek damage scene, one little nudge to the camera and it's pitching all over the place, the usual Faux over-acting.
Does it remind anyone else of the kid that would get bumped or nudged in school, and throw themselves to the floor in pain and horror that they'd been assaulted?

7. I dont think this is fake
He does say "you want punched out" unless the audio is edited. While it isn't clear whether the candidate did anything more than push the camera, the other person in the shot does appear to be shoving or something.

Then the video gets cut off, possibly to conceal the candidate telling his buddy to back off or something like that.

14. the video released is 14 seconds. this whole thing is fishy to me.
first of all, davis pulled out of a debate scheduled at the tv station (wgrz). WGRZ was there to ask him why he wasn't going to the debate. 20 minutes after this altercation the GOP had the 14 second video to channel 2. WGRZ has asked them to release the whole video but received no response.

now I am no great fan of Jack Davis, but it seemed fishy to me from the outset. I bet there is more to this than the video released. And if this 'volunteer' as they purported themselves to be from the outset had shoved the camera in davis' face then he pushed it out of the way because they wouldn't stop then I don't think he was assaulting this guy.... sounds like this guy was assaulting him.

10. In hockey, you can get penalized for "diving."
It's a common technique for trying to get an opponent called for a penalty.

9. Greece, NY - this is where I live
Welcome to my world...
Hopefully Davis and the republican Jane Corwin will split the repub vote and the Democrat - Katheen Hochul will win. There is also a Green party candidate - but he created a fake website for Corwin and acted like a 12 year old when asked to explain it on the local media - so it's looking good for Hochul

12. Let's be clear on this: it's a Republican hitting another Republican...
Just because a faction of the Republican base gets called the "Tea Party" doesn't mean it's an actual party. They're still all Republicans.

13. This is a complete setup; here's our local news story on it:
http://www.wgrz.com/news/article/121247/37/Volunteer-Who-Alleges-Davis-Hit-Him-Is-Corwins-Assembly-Chief-of-Staff

The Republicans here in NY-26 are pulling out ALL the stops. It's been interesting, to say the least.

15. I've been punched a few times...
The "reporter's" reaction seemed a bit contrived. His "persistence" in asking "Why did you pull out of the debate?" each time he was "punched," along with his reaction, sounded like someone who was wanting to highlight the "punch" with exaggerated sound-effects for dramatic effect.

I've been punched a few times, and what I saw in this video is not the way I "followed up."
