that works in concert with corporate owners and both political parties in order to keep facts from the population. Fortunately, we have the internet.
It is also the medium that ensures the likelihood of the bought and paid for corporately owned politicians winning elections; in affect, Americans vote for union stewards and not political leaders. The exception being a small group of liberal democrats that are marginalized to little or no affect. But you have to love how the conservatives blame liberals for all the problems.
The M$M has also eliminated the checks and balances a free press that was supposed to keep the population informed about such things. And putting all their political rhetoric, BS, and lies aside, their invaluable task is to keep us divided and the illusion of a two party Democracy alive. But you wont hear the them talk about how the corporations own both political parties.
And yes, we the people need to be more involved, that should have started happening after two world wars, unfortunately, the confusions spawned by the faux news and faux leaders has had the affect of making people not only clueless, but uninvolved - until it’s to late. Then, like the tea baggers, they try to fix things they don’t understand, and like Hartman says, they open the door for the corporations. That's been the plan all along...
This is all hindsight, and the corporate takeover of our government is well advanced. But if we the people don’t understand the psychology of how we got here, we will be repeating the mistakes that have given rise to authoritarian extremist governments all throughout history. And most people wont even see it coming.
But I do agree, we should be able to trust our government, but first we need to create a government that can be trusted. And that's not going to happen until we stop electing union stewards as political leaders.
