"When candidate Dennis Kucinich took the lead by a very large margin, ABC took down the poll, and then replaced it with another poll On Aug. 19, a debate for the Democratic contenders for 2008 was hosted in Iowa by ABC news. At the same time, ABC put up a prominent poll on their website, asking the question, "Who is winning the debate?" When candidate Dennis Kucinich took the lead by a very large margin, ABC took down the poll, and then replaced it with another poll:" --- After Dennis took the lead, again winning handily, ABC dropped the second survey from prominence on its website. Users posting comments in ABC's Politics page reported having their comments deleted, and demanded explanation of ABC's actions.... ABC news has still neither posted an explanation nor officially reported the results of its survey."

... ABC literally took Kucinich out of the picture and disappeared him.... The photo of all the candidates was missing Dennis Kucinich. He had been deliberately cropped out of the picture.... However - the original, from an AP photographer, had all the candidates in it....

Cause teh American people didn't watch the debate. They couldn't have just decided they liked what he said about Free Trade, Healthcare, and the war in Iraq.

How about some actual evidence and not just rumors from Hillary's campaign office (see I can do it too)

And then there was the auto-defence. Maybe you figured by acting offended no one would question you.

41. The message about the ABC poll has cleared the cache
Here's a cap of a later message about a Yahoo poll, proving that someone named April from Kucinich's web team has done this kind of thing.

Any questions?

57. I wouldn't be so naive as to think they don't
I'm merely replying to bellasgrams' post suggesting it may be the case with Kucinich and the ABC poll. I know that it is the case because I got the bulletin on MySpace — and, hell, I voted for him in the poll because of it.

I'm not saying it's right, wrong, good, bad, whatever. I'm simply saying it's what happened. If some want to call that "bashing," that's their problem.

Move a rubber tree plant

But hes got high hopes, hes got high hopes
Hes got high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time your gettin low
stead of lettin go
Just remember that ant
Oops there goes another rubber tree plant

When troubles call, and your backs to the wall
There a lot to be learned, that wall could fall

Once there was a silly old ram
Thought hed punch a hole in a dam
No one could make that ram, scram
He kept buttin that dam

cause he had high hopes, he had high hopes
He had high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time your feelin bad
stead of feelin sad
Just remember that ram
Oops there goes a billion kilowatt dam

All problems just a toy balloon
Theyll be bursted soon
Theyre just bound to go pop
Oops there goes another problem kerplop

48. that is because
KUCINICH IS THE ONLY DEMACRAT THAT GIVES A DAMN ABOUT WORKING PEOPLE........one of these years the workers will get a party to notice them again in the USA. For over 20 years I have heard this BS that only centrists could win after Reagan/Thatcher. BS. Run with your ideals and people will look up to you. Run by acting like you are not as harsh as the other candidate looses more votes than it gains and helps increase voter apathy. Kucinich will win in a landslide against any Republican other than Ron Paul. He will get excellent support in poor rural areas. He could even win in Dixie because he stands up for poor folks (not a cut on the South but like in any rural area your people are poor. He will win the big cities. He will lose affluent suburban enclaves where people never see poverty but the electoral college would not even be close.

44. perhpas
a lot of conservatives watch CSPAN and they realize that Ron Paul is the only person who can save the Republican party. His anti war, anti patriot act, anti big business, pro medical marijuana, pro drug legalization (state by state) stance could go far to convincing people that W. was a dingbat but not representative of the Party.

I personally dream of seeing Paul run against Kucinich but I think these 2 people have too much class, intelligence, and too many scruples to get the nominations. Imagine such an election. I would still vote Kucinich because he supports the idea of abortion as an AMERICAN right whereas Paul thinks states should make their own choice. But if they ran against each other the war, the patriot act, the neoconservative movement (Democrats and Republicans are included in this), the war on drugs (basically the dark side) loses. I do not believe the polls because the investors that have large holdings in the media profit from keeping pro corparation candidates in office. When I talk to my family I try to explain who Paul and Kucinich are. Most never heard of him but they tell me that if what I say about them is true they seem like good candidates.

12. He has a great outlook for our future and the corporations wont have it.
Its not the media that amazes me here, its the American people that have heard of Dennis Kucinich and refused to educate themselves on one of our candidates because the media has shut him out. We place the votes ( if counted ) and we control who leads our country, why do so many follow the lead of the media and ignore his message? This guy is standing up against the corrupt system and speaking out for us the people more than any other candidate and we term him unelectable because the media wont cover him? We the people are showing our ignorance by accepting what the agenda driven media has given us, we have choices and we must wake up and look at all of them before its too late. I cant remember a time in my life where a presidential candidate was standing up and speaking the truth about the system and representing the people so well.

I would like to know what others think the reason is for the media going out of their way to close him out?

26. Isn't it fairly obvious. Dennis is a danger to corporate power and the
mainstream media is owned by large corporations. We need an army of grass roots organizers out there advocating for Dennis in order to overcome the media bias.

And when we succeed in spreading the word about Dennis and his policies for the people and he starts winning primaries we will need an army of protectors around Dennis and Elizabeth to keep them safe.

Peace,

If the USA threw the corporations off other countries around the world would do it. Venezuela has done it. If the USA does it too people around the world will see it as a good thing and try to mimic it. Kucinch could arguably save the planet without firing a single bullet or dropping a single bomb.

They also create reasons for failure. This way when a candidate who so obviously should win, loses, there's a reason to blame it on. (Example: "Flip-flopper", "not a guy you'd want to have a bear with"...SWIFTBOATERS)

I was so wrapped up in my support of Kucinich that I lot sight of the big picture. This is blatant censorship of one of the presidential candidates from one the two major parties in the USA. I am pretty sure that this would have been considered illegal election rigging over here in France. I am not saying the media did not help Sarkozy, but they are more limited by a government which is in many ways more anti big business than that of the USA.

Might have been on Randi Rhodes.

Received call from polling organization asking who she will vote for. Says "Kucinich." Pollster says: "He's not on YOUR list," who would she choose of the rest...

YOUR list.

Sounds like it pertains to the individual caller when heard. But, it is for anyone they deem a democrat is what I'd think.

58. Ya know why this happened???
They want him to disappear...they are afraid of him. Can you imagine? He pales in size to the others and the big bullies are terrified his message will get out and be heard. Screw the media...

59. a simple and sound explanation
Forget all media-conspiracy-theories.
It's that simple: ABC tries to sabotage Kucinich. Why? They want him to loose audience, to loose publicity, to loose the primary.

Why? Somebody at ABC placed a high bet on another democratic candidate. ;)

66. This is a big CLUE as to who we should support: Kucinich!!!
They are in outright fear of the issues he will discuss and his information about those issues -- !!!!

In other words, the right-wing propaganda machines works ONLY if there is no challenge to it --

If there is any challenge to it at all, it cracks like a pebble hitting a mirror --
