Except,and ALL Americans need to realize this, not only in the public sector do we deserve living wages and good benefits, this must extend to the private sector as well.
IMO, most of the private sector workers have already been pillaged. Now the public sector, some of which enjoy a living wage, is being targeted. The ruling elite (who WE really need to target and REIGN IN their power and wealth) control the MSM as they do most things (politicians, SCOTUS, etc..) in our country. They are trying to instigate, the already impoverished majority of the private sector, to attack (in actuality) the poorly compensated public workers.
The solution?
Pay caps on the obscenely paid (mainly financial sector) people. This is best accomplished (historically) through progressive taxation without loopholes.
Taxes on wealth over a certain amount and the inheritance (death) tax (which only affects 3% of the wealthiest families in America).
Of course, then you must return to Fair trade not Free trade.
Our politicians knows this but most of them are corporate owned.
Therefore, money has to be taken out of politics. Publicly financed elections. The MSM, which by charter exists to serve the public, must donate free air-time to all candidates.
TPTB keep Americans busy fighting over non-issues like legislating morality, while they are the most immoral among us.
The rules, laws, regulations....to make America a fair nation are pretty straightforward. "They know this." They just don't want us to demand them, because it would curtail their power and capital.
The "paradigm shift", is more a return to established laws and regulations that have been overturned in the last 30+ years. Then, you "tweak" them a little more so that Americans are equal... and viola....a return to sanity.
It is not rocket science. It takes fair minded people with a genuine desire for all people to share in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (not greed).
