1. I believe the US military would use the force necessary to not allow it

7. We should be marching in the street. Obama was the last chance
and he turned out to be owned by the same corporations that ran the republican administrations.

As progressives we would have to be the one's to do it.

If it's the Republicans they would be the Mubarak forces wanting to keep the corporations in power.

There are very legitimate reasons for Obama to be removed from office.

Let's keep it simple. Refusing to prosecute crimes for one. Bush and financial.

Yet the Republicans can't and won't use those arguments because that would implicate them.

Since they are guilty of those crimes them self and wish to do even worse things to this country they won't use them. Since most republicans are mentally ill they don't have to.

They just have to wave the shiny object in the air and republicans become hypnotized with stupidity.

Yet they throw so much monkey shit against the wall it forces us who should not be defending Obama or our Government to do just that.

It's a vicious cycle.

Notice how the left is utterly silent on Afghanistan.

Obama is going to increase military spending for the third straight year while millions of people are still unemployed. No help for the 99ers.

This system is not a system for the people.

And Obama is just a brick in the wall. Surrounded by other bricks who were, could have and should have stopped the global economic destruction of the Bush years. Timothy Geitner comes to mind.

It's time to dear down this wall.

3. No, it won't happen like in Egypt
The US is nothing like Egypt. I, for one, would never want the US military to effect a coup. The question is actually quite silly.

6. We don't have a MILLION people in NYC living in sewers and open tombs
And we don't have to bribe every government official we have any business with.

If that happens here, it would be possible.

4. Highly unlikely. Conditions here are in no way close to those
in Egypt.

8. All of the above-
Edited on Fri Feb-11-11 04:54 PM by WhoIsNumberNone
-Plus at least 30% of the people in this country say "thank you sir, may I have another" every time the government fucks them. As long as it's Republicans who are taking from them and giving to corporate zillionaires, they don't mind that their lot gets smaller and smaller. Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh tell them it's the liberals' fault for keeping the top tax rates soooo high that billionaires can only afford new yachts every other year.

Also I doubt we can count on our military do be as sympathetic to the people's plight as the Egypt's was, and not open fire on crowds of protestors if things started getting too intense.

12. Oh the military can
kiss the Tea Partie's ass, anytime. They kissed Nixon's ass at Kent State University in 1970!

10. as it is here and now in Murdockland... doubtful.
This is a far larger country than Egypt, also. Liberals and Dems would be quashed- not even covered in local news; Republicans would have the opposite. It can't happen until the media is replaced with something honest and uncorrupted so more of us are on the same library, let alone the same page.
