1. How dems got suckered into calling it "global warming"
instead of climate change. The first can be debated. The second cannot.

4. Brilliant!
This man could actually lead us out of the wilderness. Unfortunately many people are placing their hopes or trust in Obama, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck or Ron Paul.

7. the future
America's future is even more bleak now than it was during the depression!

That is fucking remarkable.

Noam does manage to make sense out o what is really happening to our country and our world.

This is a righteous and worthy video well worth the 20 minutes. At the end it looked like it was a series produced by Thom Hartmann, the hardest working progressive in liberal main stream media!

Thanks, Thom!

Noam is damn insightful! I try to gage the national mood by talking to people about “current events”. It’s surprising that so many I talk to, probably the majority, agree that we are getting hosed by our government and institutions. Additionally, the many I talk to are immediately resigned to their miserable fates. Like Carlin said, they’re trying to “be happy with what they've got.”

“They want even more Not just the worst inequality in American history They want even more.” - this is Noam’s money shot. We as Americans, even the Tea Partiers, know this is true in modern America.

Millions of Russians died in the 90’s because of the economic collapse? How come I, as an average American, trying to pay attention, know almost nothing about this?

Finally, will our government allow this to happen to those of us in the bottom 98%, as it somehow came to be in the post cold war Russia? Will America become a savage, uncivilized jungle? Aren't good civilizations supposed to advance the human condition? Instead of restoring what sucked about how life was ten centuries ago!
