1. 23 min. speech you may never have heard.
This is why he had to be eliminated.

2. As important now as it was then....K&R
And that is the first time I believe that I heard the whole speech in his own voice.
And the power of those words and the images on this clip are now ampflied...and his solution for then are still applicable today.

4. Those who are seeking to equate dissent with disloyalty
The truth must be told, and I say that those who are seeking to make it appear that anyone who opposes the war in Vietnam is a fool or a traitor or an enemy of our soldiers is a person that has taken a stand against the best in our tradition.

Stands true today as it did then, yet too many don't get it. How many Americans want their country to be known as the Aggressor Nation, going to war against small third world countries who we think can't fight back and end up standing up
against us rather than the Seeker of Peace ?

All the Peacemakers are targeted as dissenters, and the Military government we have today that speaks of peace through war is the real enemy.

5. I heard that back then and never disagreed with one word. Truer words have not been spoken since.

I long to hear people talk of such things, and not power and arrogance and violence. The current crop of 'religionists' should listen and hang their heads in shame. I'm tearful for what was lost. Thanks for posting this version.

6. "there can be no great disappointment where there is no great love"
“Nonviolence is a weapon of the strong. Non-violence ... requires greater heroism than of brave soldiers ... The world does not accept today the idea of loving the enemy. Even in Christian Europe the principle of non-violence is ridiculed ... Christians do not understand the message of Jesus. It is necessary to deliver it over again in the way we can understand ... But I must say that so long as we do not accept the principle of loving the enemy, all talk of world brotherhood is an airy nothing. "
