US President Barack Obama made a surprise visit to Afghanistan to address US troops today. President Obama claims the US has made progress in the Afghan war and has won wars in the 21st century due to General David Petreaus' leadership. Jake Diliberto from Re-Think Afghanistan says after 10 years, a trillion dollars and over 5,000 Americans lives lost we still have no end in sight for the war on terror.

c'mon man, it's not even close. Afghanistan has outlasted empires before and will surely outlast this one. The Chinese will keep buying our bonds while we fall deeper into debt supporting failed military campaigns in the Middle East. This is basic, elementary school history. The MSM is an embarrassment for not hammering this point, but the American people are even worse for not demanding the truth. Here's an idea: end the wars and invest in rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure.

The people getting the most chuckles out of this are Putin and the boys, watching us get done to us what we did to them.

There cannot be a worse place to wage a war other than Antarctica, and most penguins don't shoot at us down there. The original mission was to get in, get Osama dead, and get out, or at least that's what we were told (probably a lie, as it turns out, like Iraq).
