Harris' Repuke opponent, Steve Cooley, had vowed to attempt to intervene in the appeal of the Prop 8 case if elected, so Harris' victory in this race is definitely good news for the GLBTIQ citizens of California.

5. Yeah, when she was elected DA in S.F.
she announced that she was NOT going to seek the death penalty for anyone...

AFAIK she followed through on that promise...
