Depends on who they cross, how they got "caught", etc. Many officials are executed as scapegoats to get the public to think they are committed to fighting corruption. Many times it has to do with embarrassing someone more powerful than you, or sacrificing someone to placate the public rather than any real fight against corruption. I get his point, but I don't think the China comparison is really valid.

Let's not forget Solantic, Rick Scott's doc in a box stores. Google that story that the MSM has virtually ignored. He plead the fifth 75 times in the investigation of fraud of that little outfit of his. He's also on the board of directors of Associated Indutries of Florida. The most influential business lobby group in Florida. They directed the failed lobby effort of the tobacco industry in the 90's as well as the medical tort reform efforts here. Do a Google search on that outfit. They are the devil's own that group. I have a few stories about them. They have Tallahassee bought and sold. Rick Scott should be perp walked.
