1. She may be (or have been) very rich, but she says the stupidest things!
Doesn't she?

21. But there are subtitles, and all the statements are in print, I don't know
why you would UN-rec a video that has as many English subtitles as a foreign film.

I assume you can read, since you posted a written response.

30. The video is captioned, just so you know.
Also, YouTube has autocaptioning now. You usually have to download the video yourself and run it through the autocaptioner, and it does make mistakes sometimes, but it makes it possible for we deaf / hard-of-hearing folks to enjoy all that YouTube has to offer.

12. Nice job, but...
when did it only become permissible to say the word "taxes" if you precede it with "cut"? California desperately needs to RAISE taxes on the wealthy. Just once, I'd like to see a politician run on higher taxes for the rich.

16. That will happen when really strong campaign finance laws are passed.
Its like a candidate being honest about their religious faith or having a happy wife and family... gotta make certain every t is crossed and i dotted.

Also we must plug the holes that allow the rich to keep money overseas and untaxed.
There are lots of problems but campaign finance is a biggie in my book.

14. L.A. Times poll has Brown way ahead
52% to 39%, I think she's hung herself with the relentless ads every 5 minutes. Plus, she's just not like-able (nobody wants to have a beer with her!), the maid thing hurt and never voting just rubs most people the wrong way.

vote most of their adult life and then want to start in politics at the top of the heap?

She makes no sense.

Meg didn't think she would have to play by the rules. She thought money would buy EVERYTHING.

Poor, poor Meg.

And they're not even negative -- completely clean -- using Whitman's words against her.

26. There's an even better ad that just began airing. I saw it yesterday.
It put Meg's actual statements in direct relation to what current Governor Ahnold has said.

Ahnold would say something, then it would show Moneybags Meg saying the EXACT SAME PHRASE.

They did this 12 times.

They also had them saying "Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results."

It finished with "We've already tried this. It didn't work."

BLAM!

34. This has to be the best ad ever.
Jerry Brown's sense of humor will do the state and maybe the country good. Humor is healing. Poor Meg Whitman. Nobody much likes her. Really, nobody likes here. She just comes on so overbearing and phony sweet. That's just the personal level of it, but I only hear about the personal level when I just talk to random people and ask them what they think.
