1. Eh . . .

What does Cheney's heart condition have to do with his policies? Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States -- it's kind of a serious thing. Rachel Maddow criticizes Cheney all the time, yet still wishes him a speedy recovery whenever he goes to the hospital (paid for, I'm assuming, by his generous federal health plan). That's the classier approach, IMO.

3. Honestly

They don't give a damn about us, but I get what you're saying don't sink down to there level, so on and so forth. But in all honesty, fuck Dick Cheney and the horse he rode in on. Didn't do a thing for the American People while he was in office.

you should jump off of your soapbox, stop pontificating like the typical liberal, and LISTEN closely to what Malloy said about Cheney's war crimes against our country. Then I would like you to get a copy of the Nurenburg War Crimes trial transcripts and read why nazi war criminals were executed. Hint - they'd done the same thing Cheney and his pet dog Bush did regarding their fake charges about Iraq.
Got it? Cheney should die but hopefully after a very long and lingering illness.

10. That's a bit odd

Nobody at Nuremberg was sentenced to a long and lingering illness. Also, from what I know, the reasons for launching the wars of aggression weren't often the main focus (though I imagine those were addressed), but rather the conduct of German officers and officials in brutal Nazi occupation regimes, particularly the mass murder of civilians. Franz Halder is a good example. He was one of the main architects of the Barbarossa campaign (certainly an illegal war of aggression) but was never held to account for that at all. In fact, many of the Nuremberg defendants got surprisingly light sentences and many more were released early, often because of poor health.

6. Well, IMHO watching the clip first and then commenting is the even classier approach.

But for colors, there are tastes... and for misplaced concern there will always be a venue.

9. Why would you think I didn't watch it first?

I gave no indication of that. Of course I watched the clip -- I don't comment on stuff I don't watch first. If you want to call it 'misplaced concern,' fine. I'm not sure that's what I would call it though. I'm not very concerned about Dick Cheney's health -- I was just saying that there's a lot of people and families out there that are affected by heart disease, so why allude to that? That's neither here nor there when discussing Cheney's conduct in public life.

It was amazing to see Malloy's focused rage. I think he speaks for many of us here...not all of us, I'm sure, but many of us.

4. Harsh but fair words.

We have given more thought in how these thoughts were put to word than Shooter did in starting an illegal war and killing troops and civilians, looting, lying and raping hundreds of thousands. We care and that is the difference. Liz needs to go away. Rational, kind, wise people are losing patience with her drivel.
