9. Beck is getting "cute." By that I mean he is forced to contrive

every stupider, more controversial stunts to get attention. Somehow, his social development was arrested in maybe the third grade. He gathers crazy, vulnerable people around him. They feel good because they are accepted and included, and Beck gets a sort of high by placing himself in the center of it.

The problem with these sorts of pranks is that they get out of hand. The prankster is forced to up the ante in order to continue to get attention. This is the syndrome that is affecting a lot of the people on the right wing. Breitbart comes to mind. They are attention-seekers. Problem is that that they inflict a lot of collateral damage because their admirers, their followers tend to be foolish, overly emotional types who commit acts that are offensive if not downright criminal.

Eventually Glenn Beck will go much too far and end up an outcast. He will live out his life sitting in a corner somewhere with his face to the wall. He is just asking for punishment. Mommy, mommy, why aren't you looking at me? says Glen Beck.
