5. This is the future of America!
If the current trend in America to "move closer to god" continues this will be our future...My guess is 35-45% of the country would be in favor of such change to our political system TODAY! Seeing how most on the nation is Christian this kind of (non)thinking will make such a move that much easier. Especially as "god-less" China passes us there will be an even harder push for America to become even more irrational & more Christian than we already are! Look what we did to the Constitution in the 50's planting "god" on everything and labeling everyone who disagreed an "angry Atheist" & a "Communist".

31. Sadly, I agree with you.
Just look around. In spite of being in an age where religious myths are melting like the polar ice shelfs, the ignorant are clinging to futile beliefs. It's always been like this, but it's amazing that there's a resurgence in the face of evidence against such hocus-pocus!

And just how do we determine their virtue? Advocating an American Sanhedrin? Yeah that worked out well for Christ in Ancient Rome.

8. And by "Christian", he means "Catholic" (history repeats as farce?)
Edited on Wed Aug-18-10 06:50 AM by JHB
Voris is a "RealCatholic" (his YouTube page says so), a (beyond-)conservative Catholic who's doing for the wingnut wing of Catholics what the televangelists did for the wingnut wing of Protestants.

In doing so he displays the same open contempt for Protestants that the "old school" fundamentalist and evangelical Protestants have for Catholics (and, of course, those of us who are neither are just tools of Satan :eyes: )
He also openly holds two-minute hates for liberal Catholicism.

It'd be hilarious if it wasn't so tax-exempt.

Emmy Award-Winning Broadcaster Leads Catholic Media Company

MEDIA ADVISORY
Catholic PRWire

FERNDALE, Mich. (March 31, 2008) – It was The Da Vinci Code that triggered Michael Voris’ “road to Damascus” moment. A devout, knowledgeable Catholic with more than twenty years of television broadcasting experience, Voris planned to produce a one-hour TV program to refute the distortions and outright lies about Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church that were being disseminated by the novel and the movie. Very quickly Voris realized that the challenges facing the Catholic Church in the United States were much larger and more pernicious than a single blockbuster, and so he planned something much more ambitious than a single TV special.

Financed by a substantial withdrawal from his own retirement fund, and with the help of generous volunteers, Voris built a television studio in Ferndale, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. He christened his new venture—St. Michael’s Media—placing the new company under the protection of the captain of the angels who drove Lucifer from Heaven. As for the television program, Voris chose a name as uncompromising as the great archangel—“The One True Faith.” The program began airing in the Detroit area in September 2006.

Voris knew exactly what he wanted “The One True Faith” to be; a straight-talking, informative, unabashedly orthodox program presented in an appealing, occasionally humorous way. Protestant televangelists had mastered this format years ago, but Voris knew that his experience in secular broadcasting could provide a production level that could compete with most mainstream talk shows.

Voris’ approach worked. Fervent Catholics, lukewarm Catholics, and lapsed Catholics tuned in to watch Voris tackle the tough questions about Catholic doctrine, Church history, and the Catholic viewpoint on contemporary issues. Accolades from laity and clergy started pouring in, and Voris and his team were delighted to learn that non-Catholics were watching the show, too. In less than two years St. Michael’s Media has expended into markets from New York to California, from Ontario to the Philippines.

9. Truly frightening.
The Bush base would embrace a new America where only the 'virtuous' could vote. How will they know if an individual is virtuous? One way to determine this is through allowing God to tell us. See, God bestows blessings on the virtuous. Often these blessings are in the form of wealth. So remember, wealth equal virtue in God's eye.

I could say so much more here, in the interest of brevity and that I have canning and garden pickin to do.

I have seen the kreestian soldier shit in several denominations.
They think they are going to either have everyone convert or die or they want to bring on the rupture err rapture, they have already ruptured civil society. The next sob that comes knocking to try to bring jeeebus into my house is going to get the dogs let out after them we have 4 rescues all from 55 to 75 lbs, female and if I am threatened .... I live up a private dirt road with No Trespass signs..I have been tempted to put up ones that have "Trespassers will be shot, Survivors will be shot again".

These cults need to be shut down and the members deprogrammed.

29. More on STB
Here is some more on the STB degree.

It's a good bet the young man is a Roman Catholic studying for the priesthood. He is obviously undeterred with the fact that being a Christian dictatorship did not save the Roman Empire, although the Western Empire was well on its way to collapse by the time Christianity was legalized in AD 313 and made the official imperial religion in 391.

Thank you, young man, but I will prefer freedom of religion, the separation of church and state and the rule of self-absorbed, "ignorant" sinners. I would even if I agreed with the young man on issues such as gay marriage and abortion. We've already seen his Christian dictatorship in action and it was not a pretty sight. For centuries after the Fall of the Western Empire, books were burned along with the scholars who wrote them, minority religions were persecuted in Christian lands (Jews found far more freedom of religion in the Ottoman Empire, which was officially Islamic) and unnecessary wars, such as the Crusades, were prosecuted in the name of Christ. We still have unnecessary wars started by elites who scorn the masses and lie to them, but at least we stopped the legalized murder of "heretics" and the persecution of minority religions is nowadays something limited to pockets of hatemongers who do not have the power to make such persecutions as frequent or bloody as they were under Christian dictatorships like post-Islamic Spain, the Holy Roman Empire or Tsarist Russia.

19. he is undoubtedly a member of the Secret Opus Die cult that has taken over the Catholic Church.
Edited on Wed Aug-18-10 09:14 AM by olegramps
This was the objective of Pope John Paul II who went against the refusal of previous popes dating from Pius XII to recognize this order. The unsuspecting faithful that man the pews are still unaware that their church has been taken over by some of the radical fanatics that have ever existed. These morons believe that every utterance by the pope, including burps and farts, are to be regarded as holy utterances from God Himself. Unforunately these people have aligned themselves with the radical Protestant fundamentalists who are determined to create a theocracy.

The sad thing is that the majority of American citizens are unaware of that members of this secret cult that is grossly misogynistic has infiltrated the highest levels of government including the Supreme Court. The Opus Die freaks' are so spaced out that their headquarters in New York has separate parking and entrances for males and females. Women who have been duped to join this cult perform the most menial of tasks. They are the toliet bowl washing brigade of the cult.

Before Americans come to the senses this alliance of radical Catholics and Protestants fundamentalists will have undermined the very secular intent of the founding fathers of our Republic who had first hand experience in knowing just how dangerous religious demagogues can be in depriving people of their basic right of freedom of conscience. This is exactly what it at stake. Freedom of conscience is the greatest enemy of those who are determined to make everyone accept only what they have determined as being the divinely inspired mandates of God. This is why they go to extremes in indoctrination of their youth and the victims in turn become willing participates and become victimizers. This was the cycle that the founders of our secular Republic were determined to destroy and why the majority were openly harshly critical of organized religion that upheld such nonsense as the divine right of the kings.

23. It is necessary to destroy America in order to save it
Freedom of religion and separation of church and state are obviously two of those selfish ideals to which we self-absorbed sinners cling.

The propaganda presented here isn't even very artful. Notice that "informed" voters are informed not simply by the Bible, but by specified interpretations of the Bible such that "informed" voters cannot disagree on certain issues.

33. Let's see here...
Referring to people as cancer and parasites, referring to them as evil and burdens without considering any other reasons for them using social programs, talking about you being virtuous and just while those who are different are evil, and propping up a "benevolent dictator" who will protect the evil burdens from themselves.

How could this not be called fascism?

And no, you won't find anyone on this site who expresses these same views.

Yes those people over there that we fought TWO times to free ourselves from invest certain powers in the Monarch.

The Monarch is also too is the Defender Of The Faith. You don't have to believe me it is printed on their money. Every coin every bill in Britain and every commonwealth including Canada too. DOTF.

She can, at her will, dissolve Parliament, call George Clinton, and get a new funk down. Or something of that nature.
