Hostile remarks are coming from some Republican leaders in light of the Ground Zero Mosque debate but what about Republicans who are Muslims? The Huffington Post says a group, including former Bush officials or others with strong ties to the GOP are working behind the scenes to tone down the rhetoric. Suhail Kahn, former Bush administration official and board member of American Conservative Union, explains why it's a sad time now that George Bush has left. He discusses how the GOP has been alienating different groups and loosing votes.

And you know why? Because it's a cheap and easy way to get more GOP voters. Make Islamics into devils. GOP Muslims like this guy either hide or become Democrats. The GOP looks like it's anti-devil, and the Democrats look devil-friendly, and all the scared bigots vote GOP.

Repubs have done it before and will again. Any and all minorities should wake up to the fact that the GOP will always throw them under the bus. If they can be exploited or scapegoated for more votes, they'll be exploited or scapegoated.

3. Just like they did with the Armenians.

In Assembly Ca 43 Armenians were 40% Republican. I know this because a few years ago we tried to get them to re register "declined to state" for the primary so they could vote for the Armenian Democratic candidate. Nice guy. I campaigned for him for school board. He won and eventually won the seat in the Assembly.

We assumed that the people we re registered went back to being Republican. It was just a one time favor we asked. We didn't ask them to go completely Demo just DTS just so they could vote for Paul.

At the same time the USA was considering calling the Armenian genocide a "genocide" and the national Republicans were calling Armenians "another whining minority" true quote.

The 43rd and surrounding areas have more Armenians than any place on earth.... other than ARMENIA. Nice job Republicans.
