2. That was fun
but it doesn't look like the programmers have ever seen Obama. :) Couldn't they find any pictures on the Google?

7. Except the Saints have broken all those things
this year.

As Jim Henderson, the radio announcer, put it after Hartley's kick in the NFC Championship Game: Hell has frozen over, the Saints are in the Superbowl.

It's a new reality. Sort of like Obama's election. Some people just don't realize it yet.

10. I love the Saints but...
We will see if the Saints, especially Drew Brees, has the power to be the first NFL Player to escape the Madden Curse.

Believe me I can't afford for anything to happen to Brees because he has been my Fantasy QB since he go to NO. Plus, I really like the guy!

BTW-I live in Atlanta and have been a Falcons Fan my whole life so I will HATE Saints at least twice a season! LOL!

9. Yes, The "Madden Curse" However,
Edited on Thu Jul-29-10 07:07 AM by SkyDaddy7
It only applies to the individual player or players on the front cover. So, that means if the curse continues its decade long rein of terror on the NFL then Drew Brees will not have a very good season this year or he may even get hurt really bad like so many have in the past who have been on the cover!

You can read about it here and see the stats that make say WOW! http://www.footballdocs.com/madden_curse.html

Of course, there is no such thing as curses but we humans need our gods and we need a way to explain freakish happenings and the "Madden Curse" is definitely one of those things! Kinda like the Curse of the Bambino!

8. The programmers do not account for the weight of the trophy
It's amazing how today's game developers are able to make faces so realistic, especially if you compare this game to the very first John Madden football version. However something I expected to be more realistic is the reaction of player's bodies when picking up a trophy weighing at least a half a dozen pounds. The game gives the appearance of the trophy weighing no more than a pound.
