10. Eeeek! A MELODRAMATIC ALARMIST Democratic ad! This is INFLMMATORY!

Can't have THAT!

WE MIGHT ---- WIN!!!!!!!!

All that VULGAR passion and sentiment!

Only Republicans are allowed to get angry and emotional!

The big problem with this ad is that it is specifically designed to appeal to the netroots. It's 50 seconds long which is normally not for a TV ad. The implication is that this ad is intended to reassure the base that they have to vote. But nationally, leading Democrats will still be sucking up to the GOP and uttering the usual sleep-inducing pleasantries. The basic failed game plan hasn't changed until this ad gets on TV and we have seen this sort of thing before and it never gets on TV. They're not putting up money for this to go on television so the GOP still stands to use boat loads of cash to buy the election now that the Supreme Court has decided corporations are people. The party still doesn't have the guts to PAY to put this on sports broadcasts and other shows where Joe Sixpack will see it.

Dems To Define GOP With 'Republican-Tea Party Contract With America'

Christina Bellantoni | July 28, 2010, 6:00AM

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine today will announce a new party initiative aimed at defining the Republicans who want to win control of Congress as tea partiers who want to repeal everything and abolish federal agencies.

A Democratic official offering TPM an early preview of what Kaine would say during an 11 a.m. press conference today with members of Congress framed the push as "a preemptive strike" against the Republican plans to roll out a new "contract" with America for the fall elections.

The Democratic official insisted it's "not a gimmick or just a creative way to mock Republican ideas." The official said the point is to teach voters "what Republicans really believe and what their blueprint for governing is."

Given the new Tea Party Caucus -- and with House leaders Rep. Pete Sessions and Rep. Mike Pence on the membership roster -- the Democrats will claim that "the Tea Party is now an institutionalized part of the Republican party. They are one and the same."

CNN are reporting on it as well, as posted in LBN: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x4482265

the other party can't. Certainly we need negative but also a balance of where we go next. When things are not bright as they can be a little inspiration goes a long way.

I love the pounding urgency of this. Maybe another one that flashes these folks along with Fox news heads and limbaugh - popping up out of the waves while the attack theme from Jaws rattles you!

14. Most of the media won't pay attention to this because the Democratic party won't put their money

where their mouth is.

This is nothing if it's just a web ad.
Unless the party is going to put this on TV during sports games and stuff like that, your average truck driver will never hear about it.

The party occasionally comes out with stuff like this and then nothing comes of it because it's just web based and doesn't hit Joe Sixpack where he lives.
