Millions more will become 99-ers by the end of November.. just in time for a bleak Xmas.

But Sen Chuck Schumer of NY is calling for a new Tier 5.. (God Bless Him)

Write or call your CONgress Critters in Washington and tell them to support Sen Schumer.

Update on Tier 5 and the 99ers: There appears to be a glimmer of hope for 99ers - those who have already expended the full 99 weeks of emergency unemployment extension assistance from the federal government.

Senator Charles Schumer (D, NY) told WENY-TV that Congress is working on a separate act to help the 99ers, hinting a possible legislation on a Tier 5 unemployment extension bill.

2. At the very, very least if we get 60+ and full house there's a chance at a future. If we retreat it

may not come back. It would be great if more could be done if the right's belligerence didn't make Dems take a hawkish stance but it's where we are and don't for a second it can get far far worse. Folks may say this is as bad as it can get, nope if there is new depths the GOP will find them. Consider if McCain had taken office would welfare extensions even of been considered, would wall st. see any acoutablity, would health care costs been controlled in any way.
