When President Obama announced that Ken Feinberg would be heading up the $20 billion dollar fund set up by BP to pay out claims, most people along the coast believed that this would mean they wouldn't have to fight to make a claim. But as we're now seeing, that $20 billion fund was just a smoke screen, and the man put in charge of it is actually being paid by BP. Mike Papantonio appears on GRITtv with Laura Flanders to give us the inside scoop.

The press, offering them reassurance about the financial end of the financial reform package and also the BP fund.

How is it that one man has been given so much control over money? He invoked Ted Kennedy's name, as saying Ted trusted him, but since Ted isn't around to verify that, it seems to a be a legit question...

Why is this man in charge of the Nine Eleven compensation funds, the BP funds, and other huge projects like TARP?

3. Aha, toward the end of the video, Papantonio says that BP owes NOTHING

If BP enters bankruptcy.

And that he thinks that BP is currently meeting with Bankruptcy Lawyers as Feinberg goes around offering reassurance.
